Interactive Session - Managing your food waste

After dedicating over 20 years to the catering industry in various capacities, from commis chef to Executive Head Chef in local restaurants and hotels, and routinely working more than 70 hours per week—a common expectation for chefs—Alan recognised the necessity of pursuing a position that would provide a better work-life balance. He began his career in this new direction as a catering assistant and, within just three years, advanced to his current role within the CFPU. Additionally, Alan had the privilege of demonstrating his culinary expertise at events such as the HRC 4 Nations Challenge, where his team achieved remarkable success in 2023, securing a gold medal, best in class, and being named overall winners.
