Mathieu started working in kitchens aged 14 , he has worked with the like of Anthony Warrell- Thompson, James Martin, Martin Blunos and Phil Vickery to the highest level of Michelin stars, before having a scare with cancer aged 27, Mathieu decided to make a career move to work in a pub, to have a quieter life or so he thought, within years and gaining local and national awards including getting into the top 50 gastro pubs in England, Mathieu decided it was time to go and travelling to see some of the world, on his return home Mathieu decided to hang up his chef whites and to find a job with a better work life balance, Mathieu joined Yeovil Hospital (Simply Serve Ltd) in 2019 as the Deputy Hotel Service Manager, quickly becoming Hotel Service Manager and then Head of Facilities Hotel Services.
