Achieving Net Zero targets

Rees is responsible for sustainability across Healthcare, Defence and Government sectors of catering and facilities management company Compass Group UK&I. Specifically, leading the operational strategy towards their ambitious Climate Net Zero commitment, including the approach to biodiversity, deforestation, waste, packaging and resource efficiency.

Rees’ nutritionist background, including first full-time role as NHS health trainer, before moving into sustainability drives his passion for improving food systems to benefit all stakeholders. In healthcare facilities management this means driving progress across four strategic pillars; supply chain, operations, ingredients and culture to achieve a sustainable transition for suppliers, NHS Trusts, staff and ofcourse patients.
