Caron has worked for Soil Association for 20 years starting out promoting organic food and farming in Yorkshire and Humber. Caron has been involved in Food for Life from the beginning and has been able to advise cooks, chefs and caterers on how best to achieve the standards. Instrumental in growing the Food for Life Served Here award since 2009 she has a wealth of experience working with clients looking to source local, fresh and sustainable food and how best to promote to customers and more recently how to look at kitchen practises to reduce water, energy and waste through the Green Kitchen Standard. With a background in Catering as a fully trained Chef, Caron is passionate in talking about the importance of cooking food from scratch with great ingredients and what impact that can have on health, our climate, nature and economy.
