Professor Kevin Morgan

Kevin Morgan is Professor of Governance and Development at Cardiff University, where he was also the Dean of External Engagement (2013-2023). One of his key research interests is sustainable food systems, where he focuses on the role of public food provisioning. His most recent book - Serving the Public: the good food revolution in schools, hospitals and prisons – highlights the significance of public food and makes the case for a better resourced system. In addition to his academic research, he has been actively involved in campaigns for a healthier and more sustainable food system in and beyond the UK. In 2009 he was invited to present his work to the UN’s Commission on Sustainable Development in New York City.
